I can’t believe this is the second time I have had to write a post like this in 2015, or that this is my first post since February. I am officially the worst blogger ever! This year has been a hectic one and there have been a number of reasons preventing me from being active online.
I have missed blogging so, so much but I’ve found it difficult to actually write and publish posts. After arriving home and no longer being on an adventure it felt so hard to write about my experiences as if I didn’t have the right to do so anymore as I wasn’t actually travelling. I lost my confidence and my inspiration and although I was planning my next big adventure I couldn’t find the motivation to keep posting. I am kicking myself for leaving it so long to begin writing again but I’m so relieved to finally be back doing something I love.
So much has happened since February I don’t even know where to begin. The most important event of 2015 I will be posting about in detail on here is that in April I packed up flew to Australia on a working holiday visa. This was one of the most exciting, terrifying and life changing decisions I have ever made and I can’t believe I am already 5 months in to this amazing adventure.
After arriving home in January I knew that I wouldn’t be happy settling back into normal life and staying in England. As I have previously written about I was experiencing the post travel blues and there were some major changes in my personal life, so I made the decision to continue travelling. As two and a half months just didn’t seem enough the last time I decided to apply for a working holiday visa in Australia so that I could prolong my travels and really get to experience what it is like living in a different country.
Without going into too much detail so far this has been the best decision I have ever made. I have already had some incredible experiences and met amazing people, I can’t even begin to explain how insane this adventure has been! I will of course be writing posts about the various destinations I have visited and articles related to travelling Australia and working holiday visas in upcoming posts.
I hope there are still some of you out there who are interested in reading about my adventures and I would love to hear from you guys if you have visited Australia either as a holiday or on a working holiday visa, I’m always interested in hearing about other people’s experiences. I have really missed blogging about my adventures and I’m excited to finally document my time so far in Australia.
For me my blog is my online travel journal and an outlet for my creativity so it really is something I want to keep up with. I will be continuing with my usual posting schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Friday and I will be trying so hard to stick to it this time. If anything this blog is my personal space that I want to look back on one day and relive my adventures, so here’s to yet another fresh start!
