The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

I realised a few days ago, while flicking through my old posts, that I have never actually written a Christmas post. It’s something I’m really kicking myself for as the past two Christmas’s were absolutely incredible having spent them overseas, although in all honesty this Christmas feels even more special. I have flown home to spend it with my family after nearly being away for two years so it’s definitely been a Christmas to remember.

I’m struggling to adjust to the temperature, I wont lie, but it is absolutely amazing to be back home with my friends and family especially for the holidays. For Christmas 2014 I was in Koh Tao, Thailand sunbathing on the beach and for Christmas 2015 I was in Melbourne, Australia again celebrating on the beach with good friends. They were both untraditional celebrations for me, obviously being from the UK and being used to the holidays being freeeeeeezing cold, but each was an amazing experience. I’m happy I could spend time with my family this year and celebrate in a more traditional way with a proper Christmas dinner and doing all the usual preparations like shopping for presents, curling up watching Christmas movies and going to the German market.

I also realised shortly after arriving home this was actually my first Christmas in my new house. Well it’s not exactly a new house anymore, my parents have lived here for just over two years now, but this will be my first Christmas at home since living here. I’m so happy to be home and to have the opportunity to catch up with friends and family during this special time of year.

I’m not going to ramble on much more, just wanted to say a quick Merry Christmas to the internet and post a few holiday snaps. I hope anyone reading this had a wonderful Christmas wherever in the world you are!
